 The soup kitchen is in great need of volunteers if anyone has a few hours to spare from 11a.m on a Tuesday morning. Alan Muller has put a huge amount of commitment and effort into this project, which supplies a nourishing bowl of hot soup and a sandwich to over 150 homeless in Johannesburg weekly, but now he is moving on to lend his boundless energy to the long term Ngondro retreat at TRC. We are also about to lose the culinary expertise Stefan who has helped make the soup for the last few months.
If you feel that you could help to make sandwiches or have a talent for making soup please contact the centre. It can be good fun working with the KSDJ team and a great way of showing compassion on action! Stay and have a light lunch and a chat afterwards! We also need volunteers to go out with the soup kitchen vehicle on Tuesday evening to help distribute food to the homeless…a very rewarding experience. Please contact the KSDJ centre if you can spare a few hours from 6.15p.m on Tuesdays.
