2018

2017 was a busy year for us, with two eight week Mindfulness Courses run as well as three Tara Rokpa Therapy weekends and a Lucid Dreaming retreat. We also maintained the weekly Tuesday sitting practise from 18:00-19:00. Some of us went up to see Drupon Rinpoche when he visited the TRC and Anton and Alex received training in the new Compassion Based Living Course designed by the Mindfulness Association, UK.

The centre has just closed for the holidays, but we’ll start off again in the New Year of 2018. Some highlights to look forward to will be Alex running the new Compassion Based Living Course (CBLC) which is a follow up course for those who’ve already done the MBLC (Mindfulness Based Living Course).  We’ll also get Dave Tyfield back for a Lucid Dreaming Retreat, since the one we had this year had a really good response. Then Alan Muller will be joining us  to teach the Four Ordinary Foundations, a preliminary Ngondro practise.

We don’t have a huge amount of traffic on this site, so we don’t always keep it strictly up to date all the time. Our main means of communication is via our monthly newsletter, so if you would like to be added to that please send a mail to grahamstownkagyu@gmail.com and ask Alex to be included. Feel free to drop in on Tuesdays to sit with us from 18:00-19:00, whether you’re new to town or only here for a short time. We also have a Sunday morning of practise once a month. The newsletter will keep you up to date on all the latest activities. For more information about what’s happening, you can phone Alex on: 0 8 3 2 6 1 8 9 5 2, or mail her at grahamstownkagyu@gmail.com.
