Kagyu Samye Dzong Harare is offering a 3 year study programme based on the Kagyu Samye Ling Dharma Study Programme, kindly produced by Ken Holmes, the Director of Studies for Kagyu Samye Ling, Scotland.
The programme consists of 30 modules. We plan to cover approximately one module per month with two months off during the year for a rest (e.g December and possibly one other month).
Participants would receive an emailed version of each module (approximately 40-60 pages long) once per month. Participants would study this module on their own in preparation for the study group discussion.
The study group discussion will be held once a month on a Saturday afternoon
Venue: Pam and Dave Sheehan’s house, 29 Swallow Hill, Helensvale, Harare
15.00 – 15.30 —- meditation
15.30 – 17.00 —- discussion group
17.15 – 18.00 —- Chenrezig practice (optional)
(Note: all participants are expected to arrived before 15.00 hrs)
First study group Saturday 9th February 2013. Second study group Saturday 9th March.
To join the programme we request participants:
- Be a current member of Kagyu Samye Dzong Harare. This is presently $120pa – payment can be made at the first session on 9th February.
- Make a suggested offering of USD100 at the start of each year.
