Retreat topic: “Seven Points of Mindtraining (Lojong)”
The Seven-Point Mind Training (Lojong) practices form one of the great jewels of Tibetan Buddhism. Not only have they brought the kind, loving, bodhisattva path of awakening to Tibetans for almost a thousand years but they have also proved themselves to be one of the most effective teachings for Western lay folk. Lojong is a complete training for enlightenment, covering meditation techniques, extensive practical advice for daily living, methods for transforming difficulties into blessings and its own special way of facing the end of life. Our retreat will focus on a transmission of key practice aspects of Lojong.
Ken Holmes is currently Director of Studies at Kagyu Samye Ling and is a world renowned scholar on Tibetan Buddhism. His life is spent teaching in the Samye Dzong Buddhist Centers established by the late Akong Tulku Rinpoche, in various countries, writing and translating dharma works. We are delighted to have Ken back for another round of inspiring teachings.
