Dónal has kindly offered to run a virtual retreat this March. The retreat will be held over ZOOM.
About Dónal Creedon
Dónal Creedon is a Buddhist meditation teacher with many years’ experience, loved and deeply appreciated for his warmth, openness and sincerity. He studied and practiced with Buddhist masters of the Kagyu practice lineage in Europe as well as in India and Nepal. This involved many years of intense retreat. Dónal also spent a number of years at the Krishnamurti Centre in Varanasi as resident Buddhist scholar. Thus the radical inquiry of Krishnamurti informs his approach.
Dates: Friday 12 – Saturday 20 March, 2021
Retreat Theme: Bardo ‘we are such stuff’
“We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.”
Shakespeare: The Tempest iv.i.
Cost: A suggested offering of USD60 or whatever you are able to contribute will be gratefully appreciated. 2021 Paid-up members of the Harare Buddhist Centre (Kagyu Samye Ling Zimbabwe) are offered a discount on registration – Net amount USD45. Please do not let your inability to pay stop you attending.
Registration: To register for the online retreat, please email Pam Sheehan on zimsheehans [at] gmail.com. Upon registration you will be added to the Kagyu Samye Dzong Johannesburg whatsapp group for the retreat. KSDJ are kindly hosting the retreat.
Retreat etiquette :
Participants are required to attend the full retreat, and be present at all sessions, unless there is an urgent reason not to attend.
Retreatants should be on time for all sessions. We suggest that you be ready some ten minutes before the start, as once the sessions have started, it is preferable to not interrupt by coming in late.
Although we will all be attending remotely, we will need to keep in mind that we are essentially on a retreat, and should thus conduct ourselves accordingly (even if we are attending from our homes).
Dhana: We are all encouraged to offer dhana to Donal for this retreat, in response to him giving generously of his time for us. Further information will be sent to you from the hosts, Samye Dzong Johannesburg.
