Help get yourself into a regular meditation practice by starting the year off with a day of meditation. The retreat will be based on  Seven Tips for a Happy Life.

“The true potency of practicing the dharma consists in training the mind. If all we do is listen to the dharma and think about it from time to time, that may be beneficial, but that is not going to be sufficient in order to tame our mind. Rather, to tame the mind, we must meditate upon the dharma again and again and become deeply familiar with it. Thus, the primary factor for taming our mind is whether or not we meditate.” Quote from H.H. 17th Gyalwang Karmapa.

The meditation day will consist of: Green Tara practice, guided meditations and quite reflection on the year ahead.

The programme:

10:30 – 12:00 pm (intro and Green Tara puja practice).

12:00 – 1 pm (noble silence lunch and looking at our thoughts exercise).

1pm – 2:30 pm (discussion and meditation).

2:30 – 3 pm (tea)

3 – 4 pm (discussion and meditation)
