Tibetan Buddhism – The Four Immeasurables

Exploring the Four Qualities of Love: Loving Kindness, Compassion, Joy, Equanimity

Living the teachings of the Buddha, we will look at ways to develop the four immeasurables (four qualities of love), of loving kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity within ourselves.

“Try to live in a way that encourages deep happiness in yourself and others. ‘I vow to bring joy to one person in the morning and to help relieve the suffering of one person in the afternoon.’ This is the art of creating happiness.” Thich Nhat Hanh

 Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche says:

“Compassion and loving-kindness are essential to our happiness and spiritual development. The problems facing our friends and families as well as those affecting our environment and the world at large can all be helped by these qualities”.

May All beings have Happiness and Create the Causes of Happiness

May they be Free from Suffering and from Creating the Causes of Suffering

May they never be without that Sacred Joy which has No Suffering

May they Attain Universal, Impartial Compassion, beyond worldly bias towards

Friends or Enemies
