DESCRIPTION:A Day Retreat with Dónal Creedon \n\n\n\n\n“We are such stuff\nAs dreams are made on; and our little life \nIs rounded with a sleep.“\nWilliam Shakespeare\, The Tempest\n\n\n\nTeaching and meditation on our ways of seeing and relating to outer and inner realities. In the age of fake news\, misinformation and AI\, this is not so straightforward.\n\n\n\n\n“In a wilderness of mirrors. What will the spider do\,\nSuspend its operations\,…?” T.S. Eliot\n\n\n\nAccording to the Buddhadharma\, ‘the view’\, how we see ourselves and the world\, is crucial. It is the point where suffering begins and ends. Here we will pay particular attention to the view and way of being encompassed by the word Bodhicitta\, a word that implies awakening intelligence and love.\n\nNote this is not about dream interpretation or lucid dreaming. It concerns life\, death and everything in between!\n\n\n\nPlease bring a plate of vegetarian food to share at lunch\, and some treats for tea time.\n\nCost\n\nThere is no charge for these talks\, but donations are welcome. Dharma centres\, which offer teachings and meditation practices that benefit all beings\, are largely sustained through the generosity of their supporters. Donations play a crucial role in ensuring the continuation of these teachings\, providing resources for the upkeep of the centre\, supporting teachers\, and enabling the running of retreats\, courses\, and community activities.\n\n\n\nAbout Dónal Creedon\n\nDónal Creedon is a highly respected Buddhist meditation teacher\, deeply appreciated for his warmth\, openness\, and sincerity. He brings many years of experience to his teaching\, grounded in deep personal practice and study. He trained extensively with masters of the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in Europe\, India\, and Nepal\, including long periods of intensive retreat.  Dónal’s teaching is rooted in this tradition\, while also being informed by his time at the Krishnamurti Centre in Varanasi\, where he served as the resident Buddhist scholar. Dónal’s approach integrates Buddhist meditative training with the radical spirit of inquiry inspired by J. Krishnamurti\, offering a path that is both contemplative and deeply questioning.
