{"id":4434,"date":"2016-07-17T17:10:01","date_gmt":"2016-07-17T15:10:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kagyu.org.za\/johannesburg\/?page_id=4434"},"modified":"2016-07-17T20:01:25","modified_gmt":"2016-07-17T18:01:25","slug":"sponsorship-appeal-for-the-5th-minyak-rinpoche","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kagyu.org.za\/johannesburg\/courses\/archives\/visit-by-the-ven-5th-minyak-rinpoche\/sponsorship-appeal-for-the-5th-minyak-rinpoche\/","title":{"rendered":"Sponsorship Appeal for the 5th Minyak Rinpoche"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Sangha<\/p>\n<p><b>Supporting the Dharma in Africa through Tulku Ogyen Nyima&#8217;s Visit<\/b><br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b>The Kagyu Africa community, which includes sangha in South Africa, Zimbabwe and the DRC \u00a0are in\u00a0preparation for the auspicious visit of\u00a0Tulku Ogyen Nyima<a title=\"Tulku Oygen's CT Program\" href=\"http:\/\/kagyu.us1.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=e09beafe18f3a976017a022c9&amp;id=13eeeb755f&amp;e=6992e8b82b\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0<\/a>(the 5th Minyak Rinpoche) next month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Significance of Tulku Ogyen Nyima\u2019s Visit<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In each region Tulku\u00a0Ogyen Nyima\u00a0will offer\u00a0Refuge\u00a0and the various Empowerments as requested by each centre.<\/li>\n<li>A few talks will be offered in Johannesburg and the DRC\u00a0as a translator will be available.<\/li>\n<li>Empowerments\u00a0are used in our tradition to awaken our\u00a0innate potential for Buddhahood and to create a strong connection between the recipient and the teacher, as well as the Buddha-figure involved.<\/li>\n<li>Participation in an Empowerment with a fully qualified teacher bestows permission to engage in certain practices that encourage the seeds of enlightenment to grow stronger, until the aim of full enlightenment is reached.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Entire Visit to be Free of Charge\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All Empowerments,\u00a0 the Refuge ceremonies and Talks\u00a0during Tulku\u00a0Ogyen Nyima\u2019s visit will be free of charge.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><em><strong>Our motivation is to make this auspicious occasion\u00a0accessible to everyone who wishes to make a connection to the Dharma.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left\">\n<p><strong>We Are Calling on Sponsors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are obviously considerable expenses\u00a0involved in this month-long visit &#8211; a visit that will significantly contribute to the development of Dharma in Africa!\u00a0This is\u00a0a rare and wonderful opportunity to be a part of.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>The collective airfare\u00a0expenses to the region are R90,000<\/li>\n<li>Funds of R30,000, raised by the Ride for Rinpoche cycle team have been pledged towards the visit<\/li>\n<li>However we still need to raise at least R60,000 to cover all costs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We hope that you will support this momentous occasion by offering whatever means, however great or small,\u00a0towards the sponsorship of Tulku\u00a0Ogyen Nyima\u2019s visit to Southern Africa.
