With the correct view of reality, a better understanding of life and ourselves will come. We can use the methods that the Dharma offers for living a happier life, with more acceptance and love for ourselves and a better relationship with others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px;color: black;line-height: 107%;font-family: 'Corbel',sans-serif;font-size: 14pt\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4843\" src=\"https:\/\/kagyu.org.za\/johannesburg\/files\/2017\/12\/lotus-md.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"298\" height=\"213\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Alan Muller will give an overview of the Buddhist paths, in order to help develop a regular spiritual practice and to live a meaningful life. The programme may be attended as individual talks or as a complete programme, and will be held monthly on a Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Outline:<br \/>\n17 Feb 2018: The Heart of the Buddha\u2019s Message<br \/>\n10 March 2018: The Path to Self-Liberation<br \/>\n21 April 2018: The Path of the Noble Warrior<br \/>\n26 May 2018: The Path of Insight<br \/>\n23 June 2018: The Path of Meditation<br \/>\n21 July 2018: The Vajrayana Path<br \/>\n25 August 2018: The Path to Letting Go<br \/>\n22 Sep 2018: The Path of Mind Training &#8211; Buddhism in Daily Life<\/p>\n<p>Cost: R500 Early Bird payment for the complete programme (otherwise R100 per session, concessions available).<\/p>\n<p>The afternoon programme will be preceded by a morning of meditation instructions and practice with Alan. The meditation instructions will be aimed at all levels &#8211; Alan will assess the need on the day.<\/p>\n<p>Alan Muller\u00a0 took refuge in 1997 with Akong Rinpoche. In 2003, he completed a one-year closed retreat under the guidance of Lama Yeshe Rinpoche at Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland. During this period, he took novice monks vows. Alan remained a novice monk for six years and now presents courses and retreats as a layperson.
