Four Ways to Change the Mind – Part 1

November 23 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 pm

Guided Contemplations on The Four Ways to Change the Mind

These contemplations focus on the Preciousness of Human Life, emphasising the rarity and potential of a human birth, Death and Impermanence, highlighting the transient nature of all things; the Law of Karma, recognising the inevitable cause and effect of actions; and the Disadvantages of Cyclic Existence, promoting a turning away from the suffering inherent in rebirth.

There will be a brief introduction to each contemplation but the emphasis will be on doing the contemplations.

Part 2 will be in January 2026

10 – 11:00 Intro and guided contemplations on the Preciousness of Human Life, and Death and Impermanence

Cost

There is no charge for these talks, but donations are welcome. Dharma centres, which offer teachings and meditation practices that benefit all beings, are largely sustained through the generosity of their supporters. Donations play a crucial role in ensuring the continuation of these teachings, providing resources for the upkeep of the centre, supporting teachers, and enabling the running of retreats, courses, and community activities.

Facilitated by Alan Muller

Alan Muller took refuge in 1997 with Akong Rinpoche. In 2003, he completed a one-year closed retreat under the guidance of Lama Yeshe Rinpoche at Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland. During this period, he took novice monk vows. Alan remained a novice monk for six years and now presents courses and retreats as a layperson.
