Sunday Morning Programme in Commemoration of Akong Rinpoche

Please join us for a special event this coming Sunday, 6 October, when we will remember Akong Rinpoche, and conclude our 1 Million Mani Project. Alan Muller will give a talk on the Role of the Lama in Tibetan Buddhism from 10 am. We will have tea together (please bring some treats to share), and then we will conclude with a joyful Chenrezik Puja and dedicate the merit accumulated to the lamas and to world peace. You are welcome to send in your dedications as well.

The Role of the Lama in Tibetan Buddhism

Alan Muller will give a short talk on the role of the Lama (Tibetan), Guru (Sanskrit) or Teacher (English) on the path to Enlightenment, using stories about Akong Tulku Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche

11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Chenrezik Prayers

We will do Chenrezik Prayers together to close off our One Million Mani Project. The merit will be dedicated to the return of Akong Rinpoche, and the health of Lama Yeshe Rinpoche, as well as peace in the world
