Modern culture is all about achievement and “not missing out”, which often results in stress, anxiety and even depression. Getting the impression from social media that everyone is succeeding, while you are feeling overwhelmed. It can easily become too much! Can mindfulness practice and meditation help?

Schedule:

10:30 – 11:30 Talk
11:30 – 12:00 Tea
12:00 – 13:00: Meditation and an exercise addressing challenging emotions.

About the facilitator:

Vera Hey has an Honours degree in Psychology and has been working in the field for the past fifteen years. She has was a student of Rob Nairn from 2008, and during this time she attended most of the trainings offered by him and attended a number of retreats including ten day silent retreats. She also completed a four year mindfulness facilitators training program which ran under the supervision of Rob Nairn, as well as a mindfulness facilitators training course, offered by Rob in 2018.
